Methodist Mansfield Announces $118M Expansion Project

Methodist Mansfield (Texas) Medical Center has received approval for its proposed $118 million expansion project, which includes building a new patient tower.

The tower will eventually house 118 patient beds. The 110,000 square foot expansion includes 34,000 square feet of additional operating rooms, cardiology and gastroenterology services and 64,000 square feet of additional support services, such as labs, supply chain and sterile processing.

The expansion could add up to 200 jobs over the next five years, according to the hospital.

Construction is expected to be completed in fall 2015.
