Spirit Lake, Iowa-based Lakes Regional Healthcare is planning a $20 million expansion at its hospital in Spirit Lake, according to a Dickinson County News report.
The 10,000-square-foot expansion includes a new birth and surgery center. The new birthing center will allow for labor, delivery and recovery in one room.
Construction is slated to be completed by spring 2014, according to the report.
