After two years of construction and renovation, the Detroit Medical Center Sinai-Grace Hospital has opened its $77 million emergency department.
The new emergency department is 59,000 square feet, which is more than double the previous one, according to the news release. It features private treatment rooms, advanced technology in the trauma rooms and treatment areas for geriatric and pediatric patients.
Parts of DMC Sinai-Grace are still under construction, with plans for a new intensive care unit, radiology department and main lobby to be completed in 2015.
