Clorox sales top cleaning products purchased ahead of Ebola

In the nationwide panic over a potential Ebola epidemic, sales of Clorox products have increased the most of any cleaning product, according to a report from Businessweek.

According to Nielsen data, while general disinfectant sales have been up 13 percent over the past month, Clorox sales have jumped 28 percent.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Ebola-contaminated areas should only be cleaned with hospital-grade, EPA-approved cleaners, which include products such as Clorox and Lysol, according to the report.
