VigiLanz Platform Ready for ICD-10 Transition

Minneapolis-based digital healthcare technology company VigiLanz has announced its clinical surveillance and quality software-as-a-service platform is ready for the switch to ICD-10.

Starting Oct. 1, all healthcare providers, payers and others covered by HIPAA must transition to ICD-10. The expanded coding system aims to make billing more accurate and efficient, and allow for greater specificity.

"VigiLanz is ready for the transition to ICD-10," said Stacy Pur, VigiLanz infection control and quality care product line manager, in a news release. "Patient financial codes, ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT and procedure codes can all be imported into VigiLanz. These codes can be utilized for case finding, reporting, and alerting and report population."
