Two Connecticut Hospitals Discussing Affiliation

New Milford (Conn.) Hospital is discussing an affiliation with 371-bed Danbury (Conn.) Hospital, according to a report by the News Times.

The 85-bed New Milford Hospital lost $5.5 million in its 2009 fiscal year but expects to break even this year.

Richard Henley, who became CEO of New Milford in September, said he is trying to build better relations with his medical staff through efforts such as improved scheduling in the ORs.
