Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Truven Health Analytics has released its sixth annual study identifying the top 15 U.S. health systems.
Truven analyzed data from more than 300 organizations to single out 15 systems that achieved superior clinical outcomes based on a composite score of eight measures of quality, patient perception of care and efficiency.
Truven divides the systems into three groups based on total operating expenses: large systems with more than $1.5 billion, medium systems with $750 million to $1.5 billion and small systems with less than $750 million.
