This month, Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Truven Health Analytics announced its consumer health cost transparency tool has reached 20 million consumers.
Truven Health's transparency, the Treatment Cost Calculator, is an online reference that provides accurate, real-time estimates of out-of-pockets costs personalized to individual consumers.
The tool incorporates consumers' benefit designs, providers and locations to let consumers more easily identify providers that offer the services they need at a cost that is equal to or less than a reference price. The calculator is part of the Truven Health suite of consumer health solutions and accessible to consumers through their payer or provider.
