The Christ Hospital, based in Cincinnati, will begin a $265 million expansion project in June 2012, according to a hospital news release.
The project will feature a new 332,000-square-foot facility dedicated to orthopedic and spine care that is expected to be completed in spring 2015. The building will physically connect to the current hospital and will include 60 private inpatient rooms, 10 operating rooms, two shelled ORs for future growth, a Fragility Fracture and Osteoporosis Management Center and physician and administrative offices. The facility will offer physical and occupational therapy, imaging, pain management, sports medicine, neurosurgery and prevention and wellness services.
Other aspects of the $265 million construction project include a new visitor parking garage with room for retail or community use and a relocation of the materials management building to a new facility.
