Texas Children's and Baylor Announce Fellowship in Child Abuse Pediatrics

Texas Children's Hospital in Houston and the Baylor College of Medicine's Department of Pediatrics announced the start of a three-year American College of Graduate Medical Education-accredited fellowship program in child abuse pediatrics.

It's designed to train pediatricians to become academic leaders in areas of child abuse and neglect, including physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect and medical child abuse.

The first fellow of the program will join Texas Children's multidisciplinary team of physicians, social workers and forensic nurses beginning in 2013.
