TeamHealth's government staffing division, Spectrum Healthcare Resources, has been directed by the Army Medical Command to proceed with a contract awarded in 2009 and again in June 2011 for providing clinical management and staffing services for two new Family Health Centers in Northern Virginia, according to a TeamHealth news release.
The contract also includes the construction of the centers, which are extensions of the new Fort Belvoir Community Hospital. The centers are targeted for completion on or before July 1, 2012, and will serve approximately 47,000 active and retired U.S. Military personnel and dependents.
The centers will include primary care, laboratory, radiology and specialty healthcare services. More than 300 medical and non-medical professionals will staff the clinics.
