St. Joseph's Hospital in New York Receives State Grant for $140M Expansion Project

St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center in Syracuse, N.Y., has received a $2.5 million grant from Empire State Development for its $140 million expansion project, according to a Greater Binghamton Business Journal report.

The expansion project calls for a new patient tower, which will house 110 private patient rooms, a surgical suite with 14 operating rooms and a 25-bed post-anesthesia care unit. Hospital officials estimate construction will be complete in 2014.
