Dallas-based Methodist Health System announced the ground breaking of its $120 million new Methodist Richardson (Texas) Medical Center-Bush/Renner hospital.
The 125-bed hospital will include a women's pavilion; a level III neonatal intensive care unit; labor, delivery and recovery services; a neurosciences program; outpatient surgical services; cardiac care; and imaging.
The Bush/Renner campus is one of two Methodist Health System campuses in Richardson; the other is located on Campbell Road. After construction on the Bush/Renner hospital is completed, which is scheduled for the fall of 2014, Methodist will renovate the Campbell Road campus.
Eventually, all inpatient services will be centralized at the Bush/Renner hospital and the Campbell Road facility will continue to house an emergency department, outpatient diagnostic and laboratory services, behavioral health services and physician offices, and will add post-acute care and rehabilitation services.
