Slidell (La.) Memorial Hospital will undergo renovations, including a 56,000-square-foot expansion, according to a news release.
The additional square footage will be committed to expanding the hospital's emergency room and cardiology department. The renovations are designed for shorter wait times, quicker assessments and discharges and more inpatient private beds. Construction is scheduled to begin in March 2012 and be completed by June 2013.
