Medicaid recipients are the most satisfied with their healthcare coverage, and those with individual coverage the least satisfied, according to a report released by the Center for Healthcare Research and Transformation.
Researchers from the University of Michigan surveyed 1,018 adult residents of Michigan who had health insurance through Medicaid, Medicare, employer-sponsored and individually-purchased insurance.
Medicaid coverage was rated "excellent or very good" by 65 percent of recipients, whereas individually-purchased insurance was rated that highly by 43 percent of policyholders, and "fair or poor" by 45 percent.
The report's findings offer insight into consumer reaction to healthcare coverage under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, according to a news release.
