Piedmont Healthcare plans to spend $4 million in renovations to the critical care unit, outpatient surgery center and emergency department of Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, according to an Atlanta Business Chronicle report.
The project will include the conversion of 1,800 square feet of intermediate-level patient rooms into three critical care rooms, $1.5 million for updates to the hospital's McDonnell Surgical Center and $1.6 million for the addition of three triage rooms to the hospital's emergency room.
The critical care unit and surgery center updates are expected to be completed in February 2014. The emergency room expansion is scheduled for completion in March 2014.
