President Barack Obama and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will face off in the first of three debates tomorrow night, and one of the debate's six segments is dedicated to healthcare, according to a report from The Hill.
Mr. Romney is expected to walk a delicate line between upholding his own 2006 Massachusetts healthcare law as evidence of compassion for the underprivileged while affirming his plans to repeal the Patient Protection and Afforable Care Act, according to the report.
Public support has recently favored President Obama and his stance on healthcare. September's Kaiser Health Tracking Poll showed President Obama had a 20-point advantage over Mr. Romney on who is more trusted to determine the future of Medicare.
The same survey also found 45 percent held a favorable view on President Obama's healthcare reform law, which is the most support the law has garnered in two years.
