The new Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, Calif., is set to open Aug. 19, according to a Pomerado News report.
The new facility, which replaces the old hospital that was built in 1950, includes 450 total beds, 12 operating rooms, radiology and imaging rooms and more. The old hospital will be renamed Palomar Health Downtown Campus and will provide specialty services, such as pediatric and women's services.
