Miami Children's Hospital has added 20 new exam rooms to its emergency department as part of a larger expansion project, according to a CBS Miami report.
The rest of the expansion project includes enhancements to the M.B. Fernandez Trauma Center, the only free-standing pediatric trauma center in south Florida, according to the report.
In total, the expansion will add 72 exam rooms to the emergency department. Construction is expected to be complete in early 2015.
