Flint, Mich.-based McLaren Health Care has launched a rebranding campaign in which all 11 hospitals in the system will include "McLaren" in their names, according to a system news release.
The new names are generally a pairing of "McLaren" and the facility's location. For instance, McLaren Regional Medical Center is now known as McLaren-Flint and Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center is known as McLaren-Macomb.
"Letting area residents know that their local hospital is part of McLaren, part of a larger health system, is one of the goals of the rebranding," Philip Incarnati, president and CEO of the system, said in the news release.
Officials have already begun changing signs, uniforms and other materials to reflect the new names. Along with the name changes, a new marketing campaign is slated to launch in late January.
