Lakeside Hospital in New York to Close ER

Lakeside Hospital in Brockport, N.Y., has announced it will close its emergency department and inpatient services and will transition into an outpatient and diagnostic facility, according to a Democrat and Chronicle report.

The transition is expected to take place in April.

The hospital had struggled to maintain inpatient services and made the decision to close due to low patient volumes, among other reasons, according to the report.
