Lafayette (La.) General Medical Center will close its eight-bed pediatric intensive care unit, according to a New England Cable News report.
Hospital officials said the closure was due to low utilization of healthcare services in that unit. The 12 employees of the unit will be able to apply for other positions within the hospital.
