Officials at Exeter (N.H.) Hospital announced its plans for a new health center and musculoskeletal center will move forward, despite the recent outbreak of hepatitis C, according to a Union Leader report.
Health officials reported a possible hepatitis C outbreak related to its cardiac catheterization lab in late May, and so far 26 patients have tested positive for the infection. While the investigation is ongoing, Exeter Hospital officials say the construction of the Epping Regional Health Center and unnamed musculoskeletal center will continue as planned. The facilities are expected to open in 2013 and 2014, respectively.
