The U.S. House Representatives has passed legislation that will exempt physicians from the Red Flags Rule, according to a report by the Hill.
The House passed the exemption earlier this week, so the legislation now moves to President Obama for his signature.
Lawyers, dentists and veterinarians were also included in the exemption, meaning they are no longer required to implement identity theft detection and monitoring programs.
