Healthcare public affairs firm Jarrard Phillips Cate & Hancock announced that it has opened a Chicago office and hired veteran industry journalist Vince Galloro, according to a news release.
Mr. Galloro spent more than 11 years covering the hospital industry for Modern Healthcare, covering the investor-owned hospital company beat and producing annual enterprise stories on hospital merger and acquisition activity and corporate executive pay.
He left the magazine in Nov. 2011 to join Jarrard as the first member of the company's Chicago office. The office opened this month to serve clients in the local market and throughout the country.
Jarrard is independently ranked among the top and fastest-growing healthcare communications in the U.S. The company, which works with healthcare leaders during times of significant transition, has experienced annual double-digit growth in the last few years.
