HCA's Medical Center of Trinity Delays 2011 Opening

Medical Center of Trinity (Fla.), part of HCA's West Florida hospital network, delayed its planned 2011 opening until a yet-to-be scheduled date in 2012, according to a Pasco Tribune report.

The $210 million, 236-bed hospital had been scheduled to open in November, but inspections had not been completed by the end of year, causing a delay in the facility's opening.

The hospital will feature private rooms, emergency, surgical and medical inpatient services. A majority of the services at HCA's Community Hospital of New Port Richey (Fla.) will be transferred to the new facility. Community Hospital will, however, continue to provide emergency and behavioral health services.
