Hackensack (N.J.) University Medical Center president John Ferguson has resigned amid a corruption scandal, according to a report by The Record.
According to the report, Mr. Ferguson hired former state Sen. Joseph Coniglio for a "low-show job," in return for Mr. Coniglio's efforts to direct state grant money to the hospital.
Mr. Coniglio was convicted in May for his involvement, and Mr. Ferguson was not charged.
