Springfield, Ga.-based Effingham Health System has completed its $30.9 million expansion, according to a Savannah Morning News report.
The 58,000-square-foot addition includes two new operating rooms, three post-operating bay areas and pre-op areas, new radiology and laboratory areas, a women's radiology area, office space, storage, waiting areas and cardiac and physical rehabilitation units. The facility also includes an emergency room with 11 patient bays and two triage rooms.
The project was funded by a Federal Housing Administration loan from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
