Cone Health suffers data breach by sending letters to wrong addresses

Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health has reported a data breach affecting more than 2,000 patients.

The health system reports inadvertently mailing patient letters to the wrong addresses. The compromised information includes patients' names, their physicians and the names of the practices they were seeing. No Social Security numbers, birth dates or insurance information was contained in the letters.
