Frank Barrett, CFO of Miami-based Jackson Health System, has announced that he will retire in May, according to a report by the Miami Herald.
Mr. Barrett's retirement follows a miscalculation of the system's losses for which Mr. Barrett received much criticism from the hospital board, according to the report. The losses, originally thought to be $46.8 million for fiscal year 2009, actually totaled $203.8 million.
Christopher Bayer, vice president of budget and financial analysis for the health system, will serve as interim CFO following Mr. Barrett's departure.
