Avera Health, a 33-hospital system based in Sioux Falls, S.D., has decided to implement a Craneware solution to track the accuracy of medical necessity claims.
Avera will implement the solution at 28 of its hospitals. System officials said they hope an automated system will be able to help mitigate compliance risk and payer denials associated with stricter medical necessity guidelines and also facilitate advanced beneficiary notices.
