A Texas man was sentenced to 54 months in prison for operating a fraudulent pharmacy to bill private payers.

According to a July 7 news release from the Justice Department, Oscar Simon Ndereva operated Healogix, a scam pharmacy that billed over 780 claims to payers.

Mr. Ndereva had payments from these claims routed to a bank account in another individual's name. He submitted over $5 million worth of false claims, according to the Justice Department.
