The Supreme Court will hear arguments in King v. Burwell on March 4, according to a report from The Hill.
In November, the Supreme Court announced it would take up the case, which challenges whether subsidies may be awarded in states that chose not to set up their own health insurance marketplaces and instead rely on the federal government's exchange. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act states tax subsidies for health insurance are to be provided through an exchange established by the state, but 34 states have opted out of creating their own exchanges.
On Monday, the four plaintiffs released their 129-page opening brief, which lays out their argument against the subsidies.
King v. Burwell is the last case scheduled for the court's next period.
