Police arrested a man charged with making bomb threats against Seton Medical Center Austin (Texas) employees in November and December of last year, according to KVUE/ABC News.
Austin police said Nima Yazdi called the medical center's telemetry unit at 10:50 p.m. Nov. 30, 2016, and asked about a relative employed at the facility. He called the same unit twice Dec. 20, 2016, and threatened to rape, sodomize and kill one of the nurses and her fiancé. He also reportedly threatened to kill a hospital security guard and claimed he had placed a bomb in the medical center to "prove a point," according to the affidavit.
Police arrested Mr. Yazdi Jan. 24 after he allegedly threatened a person with a gun in a checkout line at a local shopping center.
According to police, Mr. Yazdi was previously arrested 13 times for various offenses, including assault, unauthorized use of a vehicle, narcotics offenses and robbery. Mr. Yazdi was reportedly convicted of felony robbery in 2007, according to the article.
