Police arrest man in connection to bomb threat at Dayton Children's Hospital South

Dayton police officers arrested and charged a man in connection to a bomb threat at Dayton (Ohio) Children's Hospital South, according to WHIO.

The man, Wally Gandi, allegedly entered Dayton Children's late Thursday morning and claimed he had a bomb in his backpack. Police responded at 11:40 a.m. after receiving report of the threat.

The hospital was evacuated for 20 minutes as a precautionary measure while police searched the facility. No bomb was discovered and hospital operations returned to normal.

Mr. Gandi now faces inducing panic charges following the bomb threat.
