A 28-year-old man allegedly entered Wichita, Kan.-based Ascension Via Christi St. Francis and sexually assaulted three female patients, The Wichita Eagle reported June 16.
Miguel Rodela, who was not employed by or a patient at the hospital, was discovered in the building around 1:57 a.m. June 15, Wichita police spokesperson Juan Rebolledo told the news outlet. Mr. Rodela fought with security guards, battering two of them, before police arrived. Mr. Rebolledo added it was unclear how Mr. Rodela entered the hospital.
Mr. Rodela is charged with three counts of rape that involves "sexual intercourse with physically powerless victim."
Ascension declined to comment, citing the active investigation.
