A patient was arrested outside Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Memorial Hospital after he assaulted a hospital employee and multiple police officers, according to wrcbtv.com.
William Williams assaulted an employee at Memorial Hospital Nov. 18 as he fled the facility on foot. When a police officer tackled and shocked him with a stun gun, Mr. Williams removed the prongs and continued to flee. After taking refuge in a nearby home, he had an altercation with multiple officers — including a K9 — before he was ultimately detained.
Police took Mr. Williams to the nearby Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Erlanger Hospital once he was in custody. Upon his release, Mr. Williams was taken to jail.
