A maintenance worker at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, found a loaded handgun hidden behind ceiling tiles in the emergency room bathroom in June, according to The Dayton Daily News, which cited police records.
The Smith & Wesson .40 caliber pistol found in the ceiling June 29 was reported stolen in March. A Dayton police report did not reveal if police knew how the handgun ended up in the ceiling of the hospital.
Dayton police requested DNA and casing testing on the handgun, according to the report.
