The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee advanced a bundle of bills May 11 aimed at lowering drug costs and regulating pharmacy benefit managers.
The committee discussed the Ensuring Timely Access to Generics Act, the Expanding Access to Low-Cost Generics Act, the Retaining Access and Restoring Exclusivity Act, and the Pharmacy Benefit Manager Reform Act after delaying a markup meeting scheduled for May 2.
Among the 21 committee members, a majority voted for the amended bills to advance.
