1. California sleep clinic settles billing fraud allegations
San Francisco-based Bay Sleep Clinic, two of its related businesses and their owners agreed to pay the federal government $2.6 million to resolve allegations they submitted fraudulent bills to Medicare.

2. Mississippi hospital files suit against UnitedHealthcare in ongoing payment spat
Tupelo-based North Mississippi Medical Center filed a lawsuit against Minnetonka, Minn.-based UnitedHealthcare one week after the two organizations reached a temporary agreement over an ongoing payment dispute.

3. Ohio hospitals file suit to block price disclosure law
The Ohio Hospital Association and several other healthcare trade groups filed a lawsuit against the state of Ohio to block a new healthcare price transparency law.

4. St. Luke's gains 5-month extension to sell medical group at heart of antitrust lawsuit
Thanks to an extension granted by a federal judge, Boise, Idaho-based St. Luke's Health System now has until May 1 to split from the medical group that triggered an antitrust case involving the Federal Trade Commission.

5. Cardinal Health reaches $44M settlement with DOJ
Dublin, Ohio-based Cardinal Health reached a nationwide settlement with the federal government, resolving the outstanding civil penalty portion of the company's 2012 administrative settlement with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

6. Sanofi sues Novo Nordisk over claims of alleged false advertising
French multinational pharmaceutical company Sanofi filed a U.S. lawsuit alleging Denmark-based Novo Nordisk promoted its competing insulin drug by incorrectly saying Sanofi insulin drugs would not be available for many U.S. patients.
