1. Pain clinic and owner to pay $250k to settle billing fraud case
Atlanta Medical Clinic, which is a pain management clinic, and owner Timothy Dembowski, DC, agreed to pay the federal government $250,000 to resolve False Claims Act allegations.

2. States win right to join ACA subsidies case
A federal appeals court Tuesday allowed 16 state attorneys general to intervene in the appeal of a lawsuit over the ACA's cost-sharing subsidies.

6. Lawsuit claims hospitals are improperly using New Mexico's malpractice fund
A lawsuit filed by the current and former New Mexico Medical Society presidents alleges the state's Office of Superintendent of Insurance improperly allowed corporate hospital chains to participate in New Mexico's malpractice fund.
