Cleveland Clinic has cut several hundred open positions, and about 700 workers at Cleveland Clinic took early retirement offers as part of the system's plan to cut $330 million, according to a Crain's Cleveland Business report.
The system offered early retirement packages to about 3,000 of its 44,000 employees in September.
"We will continue to evaluate our services and the way we work moving forward," a hospital statement said, according to Crain's. "At the same time, we will continue to hire for positions that are critical, and we will continue to grow to ensure our future is strong, to protect jobs and to provide the best care to our patients."
