McLaren Bay Region Hospital in Bay City, Mich., is laying off or cutting the hours of 95 employees, according to a WSGW report.
Both clinical and nonclinical positions will be affected. The cuts come as a response to healthcare reform Medicare reimbursement changes and higher patient co-pays, according to the report.
This is not the only hospital within McLaren Health Care to cut jobs: McLaren Greater Lansing (Mich.) Hospital announced plans to eliminate positions and cut employee hours in October.
