Coshocton (Ohio) County Memorial Hospital plans to lay off 25 employees and leave an additional 22 positions vacant, according to a Zanesville Times Recorder report.
Hospital officials would not comment on if the affected employees were full- or part-time or what departments they are in, according to the report.
Coshocton Hospital officials decided to make the workforce reduction to control costs and rightsize staffing to match patient volumes.
"With this restructuring, we will be in a position to transform ourselves into the financially strong, viable community healthcare provider we're dedicated to becoming," interim CEO Lorri Wildi told the Zanesville Times Recorder.
