Texas County Memorial Hospital received a $47,450 grant to implement an FDA-approved artificial intelligence tool to enhance stroke care.
The RapidAI system analyzes high-resolution CT scans, identifies potential blood vessel blockages and instantly transmits analyzed data to specialists through AI and machine learning, according to an Aug. 3 news release from Texas County Memorial Hospital.
The Rural Citizens Access to Telehealth project provided the Houston, Mo.-based hospital with the grant to expand its new initiative to incorporate AI into treatment decisions and collaboration with level 1 stroke-designated hospitals.
