Dallas-based Baylor Scott & White Health has begun deploying an ultrasound technology from digital health company Butterfly Network, the firm said in a recent earnings call reported by finance platform Seeking Alpha.
Butterfly Network's Compass software, which uploads ultrasound images into EHRs, was installed at the critical care and emergency departments at the Baylor Scott & White medical centers in Dallas, Temple and Waco, Texas.
"We will work to enhance the way their traditional ultrasound suite is managed and used," Butterfly Network President and CEO Todd Fruchterman said in the Aug. 4 call. "The initial focus will be on workflow best practices, device tracking and image quality assurance."
