Yale-New Haven Hospital, cafeteria workers sign labor deal

Yale-New Haven (Conn.) Hospital has signed a new contract with the union that represents its cafeteria workers, according to the Yale Daily News.

The five-year contract covers 268 employees represented by the New England Health Care Employees Union, District 1199 of the Service Employees International Union.

An April 4 news release says the deal reflects mutual support for “skill-building, development and career growth of employees, as well as promoting consistent operational best practices.”

The agreement is retroactive to Jan. 1 and runs through 2023.
