Shuttle drivers at St. Louis hospital, university vote to unionize

Shuttle drivers at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University, both in St. Louis, voted in favor of unionization on May 17, according to a St. Louis Post-Dispatch report.

The vote covers about 50 shuttle drivers working for Transdev North America, who will join the United Food and Commercial Workers, the union said, according to the report.

The shuttle drivers now will work toward negotiating their first union contract.
