MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas will break ground Tuesday on an 11,000-square-foot freestanding emergency room, according to The Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The hospital described the 24-hour ER at Aliante as North Las Vegas' first community hospital-based ER. It will include 12 patient rooms and create roughly 35 new jobs, MountainView officials said via news release.
ER at Aliante will provide emergent and urgent care, as well as ancillary services, to adults and children. A lab and blood bank, a pharmacy, and various radiology services are among its offerings.
"MountainView Hospital has long recognized the need for emergency services in North Las Vegas at a convenient, neighborhood location, and we are proud to break ground on ER at Aliante as an extension of our hospital’s emergency department," said MountainView CEO Jeremy Bradshaw. "With this new facility, we can offer an additional option for community members to receive high-quality health care closer to home and provide the community with an ER to meet their needs."
Hospital officials expect to open the facility in summer 2018.
