Registered nurses at Valencia, Calif.-based Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital will meet April 15 to discuss how they want to move forward since they have not been able to agree on a contract with hospital administrators, according to The Santa Clarita Valley Proclaimer.
If they elect to walk off the job, they're required to give the hospital at least a 10-day strike notice.
The nurses, represented by the California Nurses Association, seek a four-hour break relief nurse for each unit and shift to allow for legal breaks, as well as pay based on experience, among other demands, the Proclaimer reports.
Hospital officials did not respond to the Proclaimer's requests for comment.
